Romantic Rainy Photoshoot with a Vespa in Barcelona

Barcelona is famous for its more than 300 sunny days a year, making rainy weather a rare event. Even when it rains, it usually clears up within 20–30 minutes. But every now and then, Barcelona surprises us, as it did during one of my most memorable photoshoots.

We had planned to capture a romantic, Barcelona-inspired photoshoot featuring a couple riding a Vespa through the charming streets of the Gothic Quarter—an iconic and stylish nod to the city’s lifestyle. Suddenly, heavy rain began pouring down, and it didn’t show signs of stopping.

Instead of waiting for the rain to pass, I suggested we embrace the moment and try a few shots despite the weather. The couple, adventurous and full of enthusiasm, agreed, and what followed was pure magic. The rain added a dramatic, cinematic feel to the photos, and the Vespa became the perfect prop for a unique, unforgettable experience.
