Top Hidden Photography Spots Near Barcelona for Stunning Photoshoots

Looking for stunning photography locations in Barcelona but want to avoid the usual tourist spots? This guide reveals incredible alternatives for photoshoots just 30 minutes to 1.5 hours from the city. These hidden gems are perfect for capturing unforgettable moments!

1. The Marimurtra Botanical Garden

One of my favorite hidden parks, Jardí Botànic Marimurtra, offers breathtaking sea views, a plethora of flowers (except in winter), and picturesque arches and stairs. There's an entrance fee of 8€, and if you're planning a wedding photoshoot, it's best to arrange in advance as there's an extra fee of around 90€. The ideal time to visit is early morning when it opens.

2. Morro de l'Abella

Perfect for mountain lovers, Morro de l'Abella will leave you in awe. A short 10-minute forest walk leads to stunning views, with sunset being the best time for a photoshoot.

3. Church of Sant Romà Pantà de Sau

This location varies depending on the water level. Sometimes, the entire church is visible, while other times only a part of it emerges from the lake. Regardless, it’s a breathtaking spot for photos. Visit during sunset for the best lighting. Bring a blanket, guitar, and some photogenic snacks to enhance your pictures!

4. Playa de Castelldefels

Dreaming of beach photos but don't want to wake up early? Castelldefels, just 30 minutes by train or 20 minutes by car from Barcelona, offers a beautiful long beach with a mountain backdrop. The best times for a photoshoot are sunset or early morning.

5. Macià Vinya Nova Montserrat

Though it may appear as a restaurant on Google, the area around Macià Vinya Nova Montserrat is a fantastic spot for photography. With Montserrat and vast fields that bloom in spring, it's enchanting even in winter. Check out the stunning photos we captured there in February!

6. Mirador de Horta

This location is the nearest to the city or should I say, it’s part of the city close to Tibidabo. Mirador de Horta offers a viewpoint with grassy areas and views of the mountains and city. The best time to visit is during sunset for magical lighting.

7. Waterfalls “Gorg de la Plana”

This is my top location not only for pictures but also for visiting! It's a refreshing escape from the city during the hot summer. While it can be challenging for photos, with a professional like me, you'll have the best experience, I promise!

I hope you find these suggestions helpful. If you're searching for a professional photographer in Barcelona, I'd be delighted to capture your story in one of these unique locations or within the city. Barcelona has so much to offer!
